Every now and then, I stop looking at word counts, marketing plans, unfinished drafts, and the never-ending list of things I still want to accomplish, and I remember something extraordinary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are real people on the other side of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of you have bought my books. Some of you have read these articles. Some of you found me through a social media post that happened to meet you on the right day. Others have been quietly following along, watching this strange little writing career grow one sentence at a time. However you got here, I’m genuinely glad you did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the odd things about being a writer is that the work is incredibly solitary, but the purpose of it isn’t. I spend months \u2014 sometimes years \u2014 alone with an idea before it ever reaches another person. For a long time, it’s just me asking impossible questions, deleting paragraphs, and wondering whether any of it will matter to someone else. Then one day it leaves my laptop. And somehow it finds you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That still feels miraculous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s easy to think of books as products once they’re published. But before they become any of those things, they’re simply conversations waiting to happen. Every time someone reads one of my stories, that conversation finally begins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes this especially meaningful is that you’re not just consuming my work \u2014 you’re helping shape it. Every message, every review, every recommendation to a friend, every highlighted sentence, every thoughtful disagreement, every time you tell me a character stayed with you longer than expected… it changes the way I write. I’m reminded that stories don’t end when the author finishes them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have more books to write than I can count. More articles to publish. More stories that haven’t even introduced themselves to me yet. Some of my favorite projects are still sitting in notebooks, patiently waiting for their turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That excites me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope that years from now this website feels like a record of a life spent making things. Not just finished books, but ideas, conversations, mistakes, experiments, and all the messy work that happens before something becomes beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for believing in work that was still becoming itself. If you’ve only just arrived, welcome. You picked a lovely time to join us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a world that constantly competes for your attention, choosing to spend even a few minutes reading something I’ve written is an extraordinary gift. I don’t take it lightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t think of anything I’d rather do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
